Organist Vacancy - Broomhill Hyndland Parish Church

Broomhill Hyndland Parish Church, in the west end of Glasgow, is looking for an Organist to support the use of music as a key part of worship. Currently services are supported by traditional organ and piano playing and a small adult choir. While recognising the limitations of a small choir the congregation wish to explore how the type of musical accompaniment may add to worship. Therefore, we are looking for a person with a flexible attitude who is willing to help the Church develop the music available throughout its activities.

This post offers a starting salary of £4,892 per annum, based on 3 hours per week (weekly Sunday morning service and practice). This salary is a starting point of the Organist’s Level C scale. This may be adjusted as the role develops. The pay rate is based on the 2024 pay scale but will be updated when 2025 scale is available.

Applications and CVs should be sent by the 31st March 2025 to the Church office and marked for the attention of the Session Clerk Barbara McTavish either by post or email office@broomhillhyndlandchurch.org
